Which sport should you pursue if you want to live a longer life. The answer? Tennis.
In research published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, tennis gives humans a better chance of staving off disease such, heart attack, and stroke. This first big scale population study confirmed what most people already know, ‘is participation in sport protective in terms of how long you live?’ The answer is yes,  however, which sport you choose may make a difference.
Tennis New Zealand agree that whether you are five, fifty five or eighty five, tennis is the sport for you and better still, it is the sport for life. Tennis is a safe non contact sport that does not need to rely on expensive equipment. It can be practised alone or played with 2,3 or 4 people and it is one of the easiest sports to participate in.

Unlike many other sports, tennis is gender neutral and gives equal opportunities for male and female to participate, enjoy and achieve! Whatever your age, gender or physical ability tennis is the perfect sport for you!

Tennis is almost as mentally stimulating as it is physically, so it’s great for brain development for children and aging folks who want to keep their brain intact.
Introducing people to Tennis in New Zealand will contribute to a healthier, more active population, for everyone. This study validates what tennis players have always known, that the sport reaps a ton of benefits for people of all ages. Who knows, if you practice enough, you can even become like this guy:
